Clausen Free Falls all the way out of Round 1

When Notre Dame quarterback Jimmy Clausen opted to not attend the NFL Draft in New York, he probably didn't envision himself taking an Aaron Rodgers-like plunge, only worse because Clausen's dip took him out of the first round entirely. He -- and a lot of us -- probably didn't figure Florida's much more criticized and scrutinized quarterback Tim Tebow would get drafted ahead of him either…more

Super Bowl Champion New Orleans Saints pick CB Patrick Robinson #32 to end the first round

His combination of size, strength and athleticism is best suited as a rolled up corner in two deep schemes. He is a solid perimeter run defender but not always physical versus larger ball carriers.

Should contribute right away on special teams and could grow into a very good NFL player and can possibly do some blitzing in year 1.

NE Patriots select CB Devin McCourty #27

Serious reach as a first rounder. Outstanding special teams player but not an elite CB. His twin brother was a 6th round pick last year.

While he will be able to make a difference on special teams immediately, it is doubtful he can come in from day 1 and be a starter at corner. Very raw talent, who gets beat over the top too often, and overall just gives up too many completions.

Joe Nedney takes on a Robot

It was an exhibition unlike any other. Inside San Francisco’s breezy Kezar Stadium stood Joe Nedney, a 14-year NFL veteran and kicker for the San Francisco 49ers, just inside the right hash mark. And dead straight away from the field goal posts at the stadium’s west end was Ziggy, a 340-pound, nitro-powered robot that knocks through 60-yard field goals with, as the event coordinators described it, "dead-on accuracy…more on Wired
